Was always a bit wary ...

Was always a bit wary of new bookmakers but were other books have been more than a bit shady with wagering and withdrawals have always been quick and fair. Could do a lot worse.

Introduction of Guts

First Founded back in 2013, Guts Sports is one of the newest bookmakers in the industry and has made a significant breakthrough into the sports betting industry. In a very short time period, Guts has managed to build up a positive reputation for its user-friendly platform and wide array of markets for players to choose from. The company is also fully licensed in both the UK and Malta, which allows its customers to bet with peace of mind knowing that the site is fully secure.

Even though the bookmaker has improved a lot of its features and services in all these years, yet it has not made any sponsorship deals so far. We hope to particularly experience a few sponsorships from Guts as it will help them gain further recognition in the sports and gambling industry.

The data is encrypted and stored via the latest SSL encryption servers, which guarantees maximum security and confidentiality. At Guts, the aim is to provide a safe, fair and relaxed environment and gambling experience for all customers.

They also possess an RNG certificate ensuring that third parties have also tested the site efficiently. Your bet money, your private information, account details, etc., are all safe and sound with this gaming platform.

So, how does this new bookmaker perform against others in the industry? Here is our review of the betting features provided by Guts.

Mobile Apps at Guts

Currently, Guts has not imprinted on the world of technology and they do not have dedicated mobile applications for specific, popular operators like Android and iOS. You would have expected them to have developed their personalized apps but unfortunately, they still have not.

In today’s age, this can serve as a major hindrance as so many top-tier betting sites have fully developed mobile applications that are easy to download and use. So, this poses competition for Guts as they lack in this area severely and might not be preferred over other bookmakers.

However, Guts still has a mobile-friendly browser version. You can simply open their website using your mobile’s internet browser and the site perfectly adapts to your gadget.

All the features, games, betting sports, casinos and other services are accessible via the phone’s internet browser. The only requirement is a decent mobile phone with a good processor and a fast internet connection.

Sports Betting at Guts

When first logging into the site, we could easily navigate to the sportsbook, which was a key focus of the site. In total, there were 20 different sports on the site, which is slightly lower than many other popular sites such as Bet365 and Betway, which offer an average of 30+ sports.

The sports on the site included Football, Tennis, Golf, Basketball, Ice Hockey, Handball, American Football, Aussie Rules, Boxing, Cricket, Cycling, Darts, Floorball, Futsal, Motor Sport, Rugby, Snooker, Volleyball and Winter Sports.

One sport which we noticed was missing straight away was horse racing, which was a major downside to the market as a whole. For amazing horse racing coverage, we would highly recommend William Hill or Bet365.

There was fantastic, in-depth coverage of the football betting markets, with a total of over 40,000 different markets to bet on at any given time throughout the week. This included coverage of all top-level football such as the Premier League and international action from the World Cup and European Championships, as well as the Champions League and other top European Leagues.

On top of this, we also had the thrill of betting on lower leagues such as the Estonian Esiliiga or Honduran Liga Nacional Apertura. In total, we had the chance to bet on matches from over fifty countries worldwide, which meant that no matter the time of day, we had the chance to bet on football. This was a truly outstanding experience and one that we thoroughly enjoyed throughout.

When it came to betting markets themselves we were spoilt for choice in options. We could bet on top matches from the likes of Spanish La Liga or Italian Serie A with over 100 different options to choose from.

Even less popular competitions such as the Guatemalan Liga Nacional Apertura had around 20 betting markets, which was more than even the most popular operators in the market. Options included unique bets such as the number of tackles, as well as Asian handicaps, which allowed us to get the most profits out of our bets.

Although the site felt somewhat dominated by football, there were a number of other markets to choose from including the NBA, Formula 1, tennis, cricket and darts. Although these markets did not have the same level of depth as other bookmakers, they had the options to cater for the majority of players. Whilst we were on the site, they were continuously updating their options having recently introduced US college football and non-league football. Markets for volleyball and cycling were also very popular with a wide range of betting options for us to play around with.

Odd Betting review

Despite the wide variety of sports offered by Guts, the odds available were extremely disappointing to play around with. When using the site, we soon found that the site makes use of decimal odds in order to calculate our winnings. This resulted in a wide number of round-off issues when it came to converting fractional options.

We were able to find bets that suited our needs, however the odds themselves were very poor with the majority of winnings being less than 1.8 when it came to football and tennis even when taking riskier bets such as betting on who would score and the time in which they would score.

Compared to larger sites such as Bet365 and William Hill, Guts have a substantial amount of catching up to do until they are able to rival such well-known bookies. As a result, we hope that Guts take note of this and significantly improve their odds in the near future.

Live Betting

The Guts sportsbook is supported by fantastic in-play features. The makes themselves are very detailed and included sports such as football, ice hockey, basketball and tennis, ensuring that we always had something to bet on, as well as an alternative if it was needed.

The odds within live betting were much more appealing than pre-match, which allowed us to have a fantastic in-game betting experience. This was particularly appealing as in-game betting is one of the main features bettors consider when choosing a site. We were able to have a thrilling time on the site, with decisions being supported by useful information that pops up on our screen during the match itself.

Live Streaming

Unfortunately, there are currently no live streaming services available on the site. This may be due to the fact that the bookmaker itself is relatively new to the market and so has not yet had the time to develop its own live streaming product. This was a major let down, especially as the live markets had so much potential. For fantastic live streaming services of a wide range of different sports, we would highly recommend Bet365. Bet365 have by far the best live streaming services on the market, covering a wide range of different sports and niches for all players to enjoy.

Banking Methods at Guts

We had the opportunity to make deposits using the usual MasterCard and Visa options, along with e-wallet style platforms, including Moneybookers and Neteller, however options were somewhat limited. There was a change of £1.50 for deposits and a £2.50 withdrawal charge, with £20 in winnings required to make a withdrawal. The only upside to the banking methods was the fact that withdrawals were completed within 2 hours, which is must faster than many other competitors in the industry.

Customer Service

The gut customer service was very good, with well-informed customer representatives who got back to us via live chat in a matter of minutes.

They were able to provide us with comprehensive solutions to our problems, doing their very best to ensure we were completely satisfied.

There is also email support at [email protected], which got back to us within 24 hours. As of currently, there is no phone line to call which is a slight downside to the support.
